Application Process
TEF awards deeply discounted transit fares to nonprofits serving clients in the CapMetro service territory that are transit-dependent and at 150% of the federal poverty level. The goal of the program is to promote self-sufficiency by providing transportation for employment, healthcare, education, and social services.
The Transit Fares Program Application is currently closed for 2026.
We anticipate another call for applications in January 2027. See sample timeline below for details.
Annual Timeline
- January: Application released and optional information session
- February: Applications due
- March: Decisions announced
- April: Awards distributed
