Grants

In addition to the Transit Pass Program, TEF supports organizations that meet the following criteria through a variety of grant programs:

  • Applicant must be a 501(c)3 organization or governmental entity.
  • Project must serve individuals who are at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Level and are transit-dependent.
  • The primary purpose of the project must be increasing access to employment, education, healthcare, basic needs, and/or community.
  • Projects must operate within, or improve connectivity to, the CapMetro Service Area.

Microgrants ($1,000)

One-time award to sponsor transportation to/from activities or events for 501c(3) organizations and governmental agencies within the Austin, Travis County area.

Planning ($25,000)

One-year award for market research and analysis to address specific questions and inform future work to serve a target population.

Demonstration ($50-75,000)

Multi-year (12-36 months) award to launch, run, and evaluate a new, innovative program or service to address a transportation challenge identified by a partner organization.
